STEINPULVER - Das Wissen des Mittelalters
In ancient and medieval medicine, it was common to grind stones into powders, much like herbs. Based on the theory of the four elements, the use of a stone powder in treating illness was linked to the principal effect attributed to that stone. Hematite, for example, was applied to wounds to stop bleeding, while its powdered form was used for internal bleeding, coughing up blood or internal ulcers. Medieval physicians thus used stones as ordinary medicinal substances, in much the same way as herbs.
ANTIKE UND MITTELALTER - Steinfarben und Steinarten
According to ancient and medieval teachings, stones acquire their colours through the influence of celestial bodies, which determine the balance of vapour and moisture in the earth. Their colours were therefore used to infer the approximate balance of the four elements. Each stone could be assigned a primary element, a primary planet, a zodiac sign and a primary deity from the ancient pantheon. In antiquity and the Middle Ages, stones were identified primarily by colour and properties such as combustibility and magnetism. As is still customary in stone-lore traditions today, practical use was given precedence over theoretical explanations of the effects attributed to stones.
ROHSTEINE - Verwendung und Pflege
Please note that some types of stone are toxic and therefore unsuitable for placing in drinking water or directly on the body. In most cases, stones can be cleaned with water. In traditional practice, stones may be charged or discharged using sunlight, moonlight, other suitable stones or places in nature. Please be aware that sunlight can cause the colour of certain stones to fade.
EDELSTEINWASSER - Rock Crystal, Rosenquarz, Amethyst
Use rough rock crystal, rose quartz and amethyst to make your own gemstone water. Simply place the stones in a glass jug. The three stones listed can also be combined.
